2. Visiting this website (hosting)
This is a static website hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Netlify”). When you visit, Netlify technically processes server logs containing: your device’s IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the referrer URL, and your browser and operating system.
This processing is justified under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in establishing the connection quickly, ensuring the security and stability of the systems, and administering the website. The processing is expressly not carried out to identify individual visitors.
Netlify processes this data as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR on the basis of a data processing agreement including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: netlify.com/privacy.
The same applies when the site’s RSS feeds are retrieved.
3. Contact form
If you use the contact form, the details you enter are transmitted: name, email address, chosen area, message, and the language version of the form. They are processed solely to handle your inquiry; the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual contact), otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Technically, form submissions are received and stored by Netlify (Netlify Forms) as a processor. I delete inquiries once they are dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
4. Booking a call
Appointments are booked via an external link to Google’s appointment scheduling (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google’s privacy policy applies once you follow that link: policies.google.com/privacy. The link itself does not process any data on this website.
5. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no content from third-party servers; fonts are hosted locally. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
6. Disclosure of data
Personal data is only disclosed to third parties if:
- the data subject has given express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR,
- disclosure is necessary under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume an overriding interest of the data subject in non-disclosure,
- a legal obligation exists pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR, or
- it is necessary under Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the performance of a contract.
In all other cases, personal data is not passed on to third parties.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21). An informal message to the email address above is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
